The Cliff Park Inn offers beautiful views of the Delaware Water Gap near the quaint town of Milford, PA. The 500-acre Cliff Park Inn offers a resort getaway to remember. With 14 guestrooms, three restaurants, a 9-hole PGA golf course, and seven miles of hiking trails, the Cliff Park Inn is the perfect choice for a vacation.
Along with all the amenities, however, come the resident ghosts, which piqued our interest enough to cause us to contact the very gracious manager, Jill Sage who, along with the inn's proprietor and staff, welcomed our group's members to investigate the inn in hopes of contacting, photographing, and/or recording the ghosts on video and audio tape.
Upon our arrival, Ms. Sage gave us a tour of the meticulously cared-for inn, careful not to disclose specific details about the paranormal activities shared by staff and guests alike.
As soon as they were led into the kitchen area, Diane, Kieran, Todd, and Todd's nephew, Larry, a member of the Tamaqua Paranormal Research Society, were almost bowled over by the overpowering presence of the unseen residents.
Throughout the Inn, in fact, our group's members sensed that they were not alone; however, Room 10, along with the kitchen, seemed to be the areas, which are most heavily "populated" with ethereal guests.
Diane and Kieran positioned their video camera in the kitchen area, while Todd and Larry focused their attention and recording equipment on Room 10 and some of the neighboring areas.
All members were permitted to roam the inn, as well as the inn's pub, restaurants, and parlor, where they snapped pictures and tried to record EVP's when either their senses or sensory equipment indicated that something was present that was not visible to the naked eye.
Armed with digital cameras and a computer, the members wasted no time inspecting the photos they had eagerly taken in the hopes of capturing visual images of the inn's unseen guests. To the group's delight, as they had suspected, orbs appeared on the majority of the photos taken. In fact, taking a photo of Room 10, which did not contain an orb, was nearly impossible. Photos of the pub, too, contained orbs, as well as those taken of the kitchen, restaurant, and parlor.
Although Diane and Kieran could not detect an EVP upon inspection of the audiotape, they were delighted to discover, when they viewed the video recording of the kitchen, that within the first five minutes of filming, two orbs had shot across the width of the kitchen. This is the site, they learned from Ms. Sage, where many "otherworldly" experiences have taken place, such as objects spilling out of kitchen cabinets, seemingly on their own, and the appearance of long-dead people. As a matter of fact, it seems the ghosts have a vested interest in the inn, as they seem to most vex those who later proved to be less-than-stellar employees.
The Cliff Park Inn is a beautiful, impeccably managed establishment, which would make anyone's stay a memorable one, even if its uninvited guests do not make their presence known. If they do, however, one should consider the unearthly visitors just one more amenity among the myriad amenities offered by this lovely inn.
PIP heartily thanks the proprietors, James and Yvonne Klausmann, the manager, Jill Sage, and staff of the Cliff Park Inn for welcoming its members and treating them in a most obliging manner.
PIP Determination:
