Some of the more interesting investigations we have done are of the Tamaqua Elk's Lodge, March 2004, the Tamaqua Oddfellows Cemetery, April 2004, the Flagstaff Restaurant & Ballroom, November 2004, all done while we were members of the Tamaqua Paranormal Research Society. We did others but, because of requests made by either those who sought our help, or those who own the haunted sites, we're not at liberty to divulge the information.

Other, recent, investigations include those we did on our own, of the Cashtown and Farnsworth Inns and various battlefields in Gettysburg, March 2005.

Tamaqua Elk's Lodge: Supposedly, a suicide had been committed in the building, when it served as an apartment building, and other deaths -- perhaps another suicide -- occurred as well. Results we obtained were an EVP, with a voice saying, "Love you" into a tape recorder left unattended in one of the rooms, a very bright orb at the site of one of the suicides, and many orbs in photos of other areas of the building. Tamaqua Oddfellows Cemetery: Diane "smelled" alcohol the entire day prior, and the day of, the investigation. We could not determine the cause of the phenomenon until, upon our arrival at the cemetery, we were immediately drawn to two mausoleums -- both in which the remains of medical doctors had been laid to rest! The smell remained with Diane while outside the mausoleums and, when photographed, large, bright orbs can be seen just outside the mausoleums. Because Diane had been extremely anxious about a career change she had made only two weeks before the investigation -- from English teacher to healthcare provider -- we attribute the experience to the doctors letting her know that her decision had been a good one. There are other photos containing many orbs and, three photos, taken by Kieran when Diane told him she felt a presence by the monument of a young man who had died in 1863, which contain a very thick ectomist. The mist seems to have taken the form of two women. Click Here For Photos.

Flagstaff Historic Ballroom and Gallo's Pub & Grill: Again, there are many orbs in the photos of the ballroom and restaurant, but the most impressive piece of evidence is an EVP which Diane had gotten while alone in the restaurant. Diane sat there, alone, in the dark, and said into the tape recorder, "Can you tell me your name?" Seven seconds after the question is posed, an indecipherable feminine voice can be heard. Another voice, male, seemingly in answer to a question the female asks, says very clearly, "That's a woman." We can only guess that the other spirit was not as evolved as the owner of the masculine voice, and wanted to know about Diane! We also have a photo in which an orb can be seen hovering in the exact location in which one of the proprietors of the Flagstaff had seen, while renovating the Pub & Grill, what appeared to be a soldier. Gettysburg: We (Diane, Kieran, Debbie, Curtis, Todd, and Debbie & Curtis's little girl, Ally) all took a trip to Gettysburg in March 2005. We have hundreds of orbs on photos taken of the wheatfield and other battlefields where Todd, because he is most familiar with the area, had led the group. There are orbs on photos taken inside the Cashtown and Farnsworth Inns, an EVP which, when the question, "Would you like to be able to leave?" was posed to the alleged ghosts of the sharpshooters who had hidden in the garret of the Farnsworth House and were, perhaps, responsible for the death of Jenny Wade, the only civilian to have lost her life in Gettysburg during the Civil War, the response, "Yes," can be heard . More impressive, however, are the orbs that appear on a video tape that Diane & Kieran have from their visit to the garret of the Farnsworth. Diane felt a very strong sensation of someone trying to hide in a corner of the garret. At one point, she said to Kieran who, at the time had the video camera trained on that corner, "I just know someone is hiding in that corner. Can't you see it? Can't you feel it?" With that, an orb shot from the corner towards the window. Neither Kieran nor Diane saw the orb at the time but, upon viewing the tape after their return home, they noticed the orb. Shortly after that, also in the garret, but on the opposite side of the room, an orb can be seen entering the garret through the closed door. Diane & Kieran are also in possession of a photo they had taken of a battlefield, late at night, during an earlier trip to Gettysburg, on which soldiers and their horses can actually be seen. Click Here For Photos. On one of Todd's earlier trips to Gettysburg, he managed to get an excellent EVP while standing in Rose Woods. When played back, one can clearly hear a gunshot, followed by the blood-curdling scream of, what we assume to be, a long-dead soldier.
